    The C2N is a flagship laboratory for research in nanoscience and nanotechnology (CNRS - Université Paris-Saclay- Université Paris Cité joint research unit). It was founded on the 1st June 2016 by merging two former laboratories, the Laboratoire de Photonique et de Nanostructures (LPN) and the Institut d’Electronique Fondamentale (IEF). In 2018, the laboratory moved to a 18,000 m² building at the heart of Campus Paris -Saclay, in the south of Paris.

    The C2N Technological Facility

    The C2N Technological Facility are hosted in a clean room of 2 900 sqm, dedicated to micro and nanofabrication processes, to the growth, the epitaxy and the characterization of materials. Some areas are also devoted to education and continuous training in micro-nanotechnologies, and 250 sqm are dedicated to start-up or SME activities. In a whole, more than 50 M€ are invested in state-of-the-art equipment for micro-nanotechnologies and 36 engineers and technicians.

  • How to get to the site by public transport

    From Charles de Gaulle airport : 
    • Take the RER B from «Aéroport Charles de Gaulle » (direction : «Saint-Remy les Chevreuses» or «Massy-Palaiseau»), get off at the RER B « Massy-Palaiseau » station and exit to the left side (exit name : Massy Atlantis), then walk with the train track on your right side until you find the 91-06 bus stop. 
    • In daytime from Massy-Palaiseau, take the bus Paris-Saclay express 91-06 (direction : « Christ de Saclay ») or Paris-Saclay express 91-10 (direction : « Saint Quentin Gare routière »). For both buses, stop at « Ferme de la Vauve » (about 12 mn from Massy-Palaiseau), then there is a 4mn walk to C2N. The fare is one Metro ticket.

    - For the bus 91-06, the service at Massy-Palaiseau is from 6:00 to 0:00 (very frequent at rush hours)
    - For the bus 91-10 (which is coming from ORLY airport), the service at Massy-Palaiseau is from 6:30 to 23:30 (every 30 mn). 
    Between « Massy-Palaiseau »  and « Ferme de la Vauve », both buses have the same stops (see the map below for 91-06).


     
    • ​At night, from «Massy-Palaiseau», take the Bus N63 (going to « Polytechnique Vauve ») stop at « Ferme de la Vauve », then there is a 4mn walk to C2N.
    On the schedule below (see the map), the RER B «Massy-Palaiseau» is about 15 mn before the arrival (Polytechnique Vauve). It is not a very frequent bus, but runs up to 5:00 AM at least every 30mn (nights from Sunday evening to Friday morning).​​     
       
      


    From Paris-Orly airport : 
    • From Paris-Orly airport, take the OrlyVal to the «Antony» stop and then the RER B to «Massy Palaiseau» station and finally the 91-06 bus line* and stop at « Ferme de la Vauve » (about 12 mn from Massy-Palaiseau), then there is a 4mn walk to C2N. The fare is one Metro ticket. ​

    From Gare de Lyon : 
    • Option 1:  From the station, take the RER A to «Châtelet-les-Halles» station, then the RER B to «Massy-Palaiseau» station and finally the 91-06 bus line* and stop at «Ferme de la Vauve» (about 12 mn from Massy-Palaiseau), then there is a 4mn walk to C2N. The fare is one Metro ticket. ​
    • Option 2 : From the station, take the RER D to «Gare de Lyon» station and then take the RER B to «Massy-Palaiseau» station and finally the 91-06 bus line* and stop at «Ferme de la Vauve» (about 12 mn from Massy-Palaiseau), then there is a 4mn walk to C2N. The fare is one Metro ticket. ​

    You can also easily take a taxi from «Massy Palaiseau» RER station instead of taking the bus.

    How to get to the site by car

    From Charles de Gaulle airport : 
    • Via A86: Take the A1 and leave Route des Badauds (6.5km). Follow A1, A86 and N118 towards D128. Take exit 9 and leave N118 (58.2km). Drive towards Boulevard Thomas Gobert/D128 in Palaiseau (2km).

     From Paris-Orly airport: 
    • Via A10: Head south on A106 (37m). Continue on Avenue de l'Aéroport. Take Avenue Set Avenue de Paris toward A106 (1.8km). Continue on A106 toward Rungis. Take exit 5 and leave A106 (2.2 km). Take the A86 and leave Avenue Charles Lindbergh/D165 (1.1 km). Take A6B and A10 towards A126. Take the exit towards D444/Versailles/Igny/Bièvres and leave A10 (8.9 km). Continue on the A126. Take the D36 towards Bouldevard Thomas Gobert/D128 (6.3 km).
    • Via A126: Follow N7 towards Avenue Jean Jaurès (2,5 km). Continue on Avenue Jean Jaurès. Take Rue Pierre et Marie Curie toward Avenue de Verdun/D118 (1.6 km). Follow D118, A126 and D36 towards Chemin du Trou Rouge/Av. de la Vauve/Av. de Villebois/D128 in Palaiseau (13.2 km). Drive towards Boulevard Thomas Gobert/D128 (1.4km). 

    From Gare de Lyon : 
    • Via A6B: Take Boulevard Périphérique and leave Rue de Chalon, Rue de Bercy and Quai de Bercy (2.9 km). Continue on Boulevard Périphérique. Take A6B and A10 towards A126. Take the exit towards D444/Versailles/Igny/Bièvres and leave the A10 (17.6 km). Continue on the A126. Take the D36 towards Boulevard Thomas Gobert/D128 (6.3 km).
